Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation.
Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHA’s) are used for this purpose. The precise formula used may be adjusted to meet each patient's needs. Although chemical peel may be performed in conjunction with a facelift, it is not a substitute for such surgery, nor will it prevent or slow the aging process.
Deciding if chemical peel is right for you Chemical peel is most commonly performed for cosmetic reasons -- to enhance your appearance and your self confidence. Chemical peel may also remove pre-cancerous skin growths, soften acne facial scars and even control acne. In certain cases, health insurance may cover the peel procedure. Be sure to check your policy and contact your insurance company before the procedure is performed.

Laser hair removal works by passing a beam of light through the skin. The laser targets dark pigment called melanin in the hair. When the beam strikes the hair follicle (where hair growth), the intense heat destroys the hair follicle instantly. Hair removal laser treatment may be the best form of hair removal. Some people think laser hair removal is only available to be performed on the face, not at all! This treatment can be used on virtually any part of the body including the very delicate skin of the peritoneum.

• Legs
• Bikini area
• Back
• Pubic area

What is SmartXide?
The SmartXide laser skin re-surfacing treatments represent the very latest in tissue rejuvenation laser technology. This great breakthrough by DEKA Lasers utilizes a CO2 fractional system with a super-fast scanner that allows the doctor to do a "Dot Resurfacing". By removing a customized pattern of dots and not the entire skin surface, unlike other CO2 lasers, this technology combines the best of both worlds – the great and proven results of a traditional ablative laser, but without the pain and the traditional downtime. BROUGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN DELHI BY DR.DEEPALI AT The Skin&Hair Clinic's.
The SmartXide Dot treatment causes a rapid tightening of the skin, reduces blemishes and softens irregularities and scarring. It also stimulates collagen production, giving the skin a younger plumper look and feel. The collagen produced helps to prolong the effects of the treatment, and gives a more even result. What also sets SmartXide Dot apart from other treatments is that each treatment can be tailored to each person's skin-type and degree of damage.
If you have always desired to rejuvenate your skin but have had fears of traditional laser resurfacing, you should consider this laser treatment. The results surpass many other laser technology on the market and far exceed that of commonly known treatments like microdermabrasions.
What does SmartXidetreat? It is a safe and effective way to treat sun damage, stubborn pigmentation, acne scars, rough texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles and skin laxity on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands and surgical scars, with essentially no downtime.
Any part of the body surface area and all skin types and colours can be treated. The following is a list of conditions that can be treated with SmartXide Dot:
•Wrinkles
•Poor texture
•Large skin pores
•Sun damage
•Sun spots
•Brown spots
•Acne scars
•Surgical scars
•Traumatic scars
•Melasma
•Uneven pigmentation
•Stretch marks
How many SmartXide treatments will I need?
Completely Depends on the degree of damage to your skin and desired results, most patients require 1-3 treatments, spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart.
How much improvement can I expect?
Patients can expect to see improvement in the colour, texture and quality of the skin within a week or two after the treatment; however, more significant improvement will be seen after the series of treatments is complete. Skin laxity can be furthered improved by combining SmartXide with radio frequency skin tightening and in some cases adding a feather lift procedure for very loose skin.
What does the fractional laser treatment feel like?
There is minimal, if any discomfort during the procedure. Rarely, a mild burning sensation may occur. No topical anaesthetic is required except where the procedure is carried out close to the eye, when it may be appropriate to use protective eye shields in the eye with anaesthetic eye drops as a precautionary measure to protect the eye itself.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Most people have some pinkness and some even a small amount of swelling in the skin which settles in 24 hours and can therefore return to work the next day. Make-up can be worn the next day. Regular application of moisturisers is recommended for the first 5-7 days as the skin may feel a little dry.
How much does SmartXide laser resurfacing cost?
Costs vary depending on the skin condition and number of treatments and laser shots that are required. Please arrange a consultation for further information as only Dr.Deepali can best recommend after examining you thoroughly that how many sittings and laser shots would be actually needed.
PPR
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma therapy. It is a new modality of hair loss treatment, firstly brought forward by Dr. Greco in USA. Finally, there's a research-based, medical approach to reversing hair loss that encourages new growth of your own hair! Cell therapy for hair growth, an innovative treatment offered by PRP Hair Replacement Therapy, offers you the renewal you need to have a fuller, healthier head of hair.
Your Own Cells Grow Hair
Cell therapy is unique because it relies on your body's own cells for growing hair. The human body fights disease and repairs damage to all of its organs—including the skin cells that grow hair—using a distinctive type of cell called a stem cell. These cells are powerful because when they divide, as all the cells in your body do, they don't just make an exact copy of themselves—they are able to produce the type of cell needed by each part of your body. Even if the follicle cells on your scalp are dying, stem cells provide a solution by providing a perfect replacement: cells that are not only able to provide rejuvenation of the scalp, but to infinitely replicate and perpetuate growth.
New research in the cutting edge field of stem cell therapy has found that stem cells are the future of hair growth treatments. Internationally published results demonstrate that this technology can be outstandingly effective in the growth of hair, even in patients that have struggled with hair loss for years.
Procedural Details
In this therapy, patient's own blood is taken and sent to lab to prepare a layer of plasma, rich in platelets and different growth factors. It is then injected into the scalp with hair thinning/loss. This procedure is done under local anaesthesia to make it nearly pain free. Topical antibiotics are then applied on the scalp before sending a patient home. Patient can shampoo after 1 day as usual and should AVOID sun exposure of the scalp for first 24 hours.
Where is this modality effective?
PRP seems to work better in patients with diffuse hair thinning caused by any cause including alopecia androgenetica (common baldness). It also found to be effective in alopecia areata. It is not that much effective in patients with complete baldness and scarring alopecia. It can be used in conjunction with minoxidil, finasteride& hair replacement surgery (hair transplant).
There's hope for those who are struggling with thinning hair or pattern baldness. But the time to act is now—the sooner you start Hair Replacement Therapy, the more effective it can be in stimulating the growth of new hair, new cells and a new confidence
How does it work?
It is a biological therapy. Prepared plasma contains platelets which are numerous than in normal blood. It has different growth factors especially PDGF and VEGF. Both these factors have significant positive effects on hair growth. PRP may actually wake up dormant stem cells in the follicles giving new hair growth. So this therapy gives strength to the existing hair, reduce hair fall and likely to increase the actual number of hair by stimulating the stem cells.
When to see the progress?
Generally hair shaft become thicker and looks more lustrous with reduction in hair fall within 4-6 weeks while new growth is likely in about 4 months. Repeated sessions are generally needed but it is completely individual basis and hence decided only by Dr.Deepali after a thorough examination.
Safety Criteria
As patients own plasma is used, it is unlikely to risk in anyway. No untoward side effects have been reported so far except some patients might feel burning/soreness sensation which last for a day or so.
What is the frequency of PRP?
One is likely to need to repeat this therapy once in 3-4 months to keep the progress going. But, completely dependent on the aetiology of hair fall and hair thinning, age of the patient taking the treatment ,etc
Advantages
•It is a day care procedure which takes about 5hrs.from the time the blood sample is taken till the procedure is done and is done as an out patient. No hospital admission is required
•Generally done under local anaesthesia but can be done without local anaesthesia too.
•Over all a great result and only treatment which makes hair thicker by a certain degree in most of the patients.
Precautions
1.Head Wash is not allowed for 1 day post procedure.
2.Avoid too much of sun exposure for two days post procedure.
3.Follow the medicines prescribed by Dr.Deepali Bhardwaj only after 24 hours of the treatment.
Note:- There are no side effects of this procedure as this procedure is done with the patient's own blood.
Hair Transplant By Strip Method/Single Follicle Transfer
The Strip Harvesting technique is a hair transplantation method that involves removing the follicular units from the donor area as one group follicular graft. This hair transplant technique allows the follicular units to be extracted intact in their genetic form with their surrounding stem cells. Each follicular unit contains generally one to four hairs with an average being 2.3 hairs per follicular unit.
Now, the harvested follicular units are dissected with great care under fibre optic equipped microscopes to avoid the application of heat that may harm the hair follicles. Once separated, these follicular units are preserved in a special saline solution at the correct temperature waiting to be placed in the recipient area, which is the bald or thinning area on the scalp which bothered the patient. Continuing the hair transplant process, the surgeon first prepares recipient sites on the patient. The final step of the hair transplant surgery is the follicular unit placement. The grafts are placed with due care and attention one by one with forceps by expert hair transplant technician at our clinic. In single follicle transfer there is a special instrument like forceps which is used to extract the hair and implantation technique remains the same but, since this is tedious and more time consuming cost of this is always more than strip and most ideal for patients requiring alot of hair a combination of strip and single follicle transfer works best.
There are many factors that contribute towards a complete and natural RESULT.. An expert surgical team will deliver a state of the art hair restoration by observing strict quality control processes during every phase of the hair transplantation procedure& at THE SKIN&HAIR CLINIC Hair Transplantation operation is only done along with a team of surgeons and technicians at Hospital of Choice to the individual patient.
Hair Restoration relies on both artistry and skill. Several key elements are necessary to achieve a satisfactory hair transplant result. The most important of these key elements are the following:
• Proper Strip extraction and closing of the donor area leaving a minimal scar
• Correct donated follicle care and implantation at the required area
• Proper hair transplant and easy to follow post-surgery care which is explained well to the patients
THESE steps are well taken care of and we have enough patients who can vouch and speak or meet you to share their experiences with you.

Remember my favorite and very simple old dictums which I always said to my medical students in my teachings and to my patients stands very true today-
a)" Skin is the mirror of internal disorders"
b) "Prevention is better than cure”
c) "Health and skin care is more important than wealth"
d) "Earlier the diagnosis better the prognosis"
e) "Better late than never"
f) "Time and tide waits for none" so act now
All of the above dictums are very true and you know them very well-
Your Dermatologist can diagnose several serious and life threatening internal diseases such as internal cancer, Diabetes, Hypertension, Liver disorders much before symptoms of the disease from examination of your skin, hair and nails and from established so called cutaneous markers of systemic disorders as Dr.Deepali always quotes “Skin is the only mirror of our internal body systems”. WAYS TO KEEP SKIN HEALTHY
- Diet: A
well-balanced, regular diet along with adequate
amount of water is all that you need. One must
avoid the so-called junk food, too much of
starvation in the form of dieting & eating
at odd irregular hours.
- Exercise: About 30 minutes
of aerobics, walking, jogging or cycling at
least five times a week is essential for a
healthy skin.
- Sun
Protection: UVA & UVB rays could be
harsh on the skin & cause photo damage in
the form of increased pigmentation, freckles,
premature aging & even skin cancers. Those
with normal to dry skin can use a sunscreen with
an SPF of 15 at least 20 minutes before sun
exposure. People with oily skin should use an
umbrella or a wide brimmed hat for sun
protection.
- Local skin
care: The surface of the skin contains
oil, dead cells, sweat, grime, dirt, grease
& pollutants. If this is not removed, the
skin looks dull & flaky. Cleansing is an
important part of skin care & can be done
with simple soaps or cleansers. The skin should
be washed at least twice a day with soap &
warm water. Deodorant soaps with antiseptic
agents are good for oily skin. Super fatted
soaps or glycerin-based soaps are good for dry
& normal skin. For the skin to look healthy
& glowing, its uppermost layer called
stratum corneum should contain more than 10% of
the total water content of the body. Thus, comes
the role of a moisturizer. People with dry to
normal skin should use a moisturizer twice a day
after cleansing. Those with oily skin should be
careful & use an oil free moisturizer only
once a day.
Lastly, be gentle on
your skin. Do not use harsh cosmetics. If you
have a skin problem, seek professional
advice.

As we grow older, lines and wrinkles become a concern. They are caused by every day movements and expressions, sun damage, smoking and other, unavoidable environmental factors such as free radicals. As well as all these factors, natural collagen breaks down and skin gets less elastic the older we get. As Dr.Deepali says “Most beautiful dress in the world will also not compensate for a skin which is ignored.” No makeup can buy back natural looks and ignored skin is obvious and sadly more with age. The most important investment for skin has to be a good sunscreen for everyone as it prevents the sun damage and hence the wrinkles from coming further.
In an effort to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, many people are turning to BOTOX. The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, simply called BOTOX is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck.. BOTOX has also been shown effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes. Dr.Deepali has received her expert training in BOTOX both by National and International experts and is doing it for all basic and advanced indications also, she is popular in saying NO to BOTOX to some patients who she insists don’t need the injections and can be managed on creams!
What can I expect from BOTOX procedure?
BOTOX reduces or eliminates:
• Frown lines
• Crows feet near the eyes
• Forehead creases
• Thick bands in the neck
Am I a good candidate for BOTOX?
BOTOX Cosmetic has been used to treat adults of all ages. Though the results have been excellent in all age groups, they are most dramatic in those with minimal signs of aging. It is recommended for patients who:
• Have neck or facial wrinkles
• Are in good physical condition
• Are motivated to improve their appearance
• Have realistic expectations
How does BOTOX work?
BOTOX is the cosmetic form of botulinum toxin. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed and hence the younger appearance.
There are two types of wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles, or muscle wrinkles, form where muscles move the face the most (around and between the eyes and around the mouth), and Static wrinkles are lines and crinkles that appear at the corners of the eyes and in other areas on the face. Dynamic wrinkles go deeper and need sometimes fillers also as they create groove in the skin, which are apparent even when you are not moving your face. Static wrinkles are more superficial and are most noticeable when the face is moving, such as when you smile or frown and are generally easily controlled with BOTOX alone.
Are there any side effects of BOTOX?
Small bruises or red marks at the sites of the injection may appear but usually fade within a few days. Mild headaches and nausea, though rare, have been reported by patients who receive forehead injections. Swelling, though rare, may occur in the area around the injection. If the swelling lasts more than a few hours, simple massage should help reduce it.
There are no reports of allergic reactions to Botox. However, if you are pregnant or breast feeding, or have a neurological disease, you should not use Botox.
Can I combine other treatments with BOTOX?
BOTOX works especially well when combined with other non-surgical treatments such as dermal fillers and also other Laser skin tightening procedures. You can also combine Botox with rejuvenation packages or side trips in India/ Abroad.
